Reception

I will skip the shocked claims of how long it has been since my last post and jump right into the next slew of postings, 95% of them probably focused on wedding recap.

Our dear friend Robert took some photos for us of our reception before everyone arrived. He did a great job and we are glad we asked him since it gave us a chance to capture the different elements before the place was filled to the brim with guests. Here are some of my favs:
The cake was delicious! That is coffee frosting tucked under the chocolate curls. Keith and I had them save the top tier so we could eat it on our one year anniversary but decided afterward that we would eat it now since it won't last that long. We have been enjoying it all week! YUM.

Candy Bar Favors:
(if you are a lover of gummy coke bottles or salt water taffy let me know... we've got some extras!)

That's all for now. Much more to come.

1 Month Milestone

A lot has been happening in the last 30 days since Keith and I got engaged but no excuses for neglecting my blog for so long! The day we got engaged started with a trip to Catalina island... a wonderful island I had never visited before.

On the Catalina Express (boat) ... apparently Keith was nervous most of the day since he was aware of the big life milestone awaiting us that evening. I was none the wiser. About 30 minutes into the trip I was certain we weren't going to get engaged. Let's just be honest... once you get to the pre-engagement phase you are always keeping one eye open just in case that day is THE DAY. After I decided it wasn't the day my radar completely turned off.

This photo still makes me giggle. I wish I would have made him lay down alongside the odd little vehicle. I think he would have been longer.

Hanging out on the jetty away from the hussle and bussle of town.

Once we got back Keith went home and showered up. I worked and remained in my dingy clothes with my hair in a ponytail. One of us (that being me) was completely not expecting an engagement! (For the details on the engagement... check out Keith's blog).

Keith had brought all these candles and glasses so we could have a romantic dinner out on the patio.

Lara stopped by that night so we were able to get a picture of us post-engagement! Such an amazing man and such an amazing day. Our engagement was perfect. It truly represented us and Keith really thought through it and made it special for us. Our first date was making dinner at my house so it was awesome to get engaged in the same place. I am a very blessed lady!

Wedding updates to come...

In his words...

Good news travels fast so hopefully you already know that I, Chanda Chaix, I am engaged to a wonderful man, Keith Erselius! To make that reality even better is that he took the time to put the details onto his blog in his own words. To hear him tell the story and see some pics you can visit Keith's blog: http://thatskeith.blogspot.com/
